Hey there, PoisonxPoptart here to give you another week of rankings for the 2nd Week of the AGLA Ammy League. In this article the community has a chance to vote on all of the ammy teams ranks, and I do write ups for all the times on how I think they’re teams hold up! Hope you enjoy!
9. Bad Intentions (0-2)
Loss against Affinity 5-0 and Eclipse 5-1
(TG Revenge 40, Cinn, Cyberph0x, SKR GRRAAARRRGGG)
Rough start for Revenge’s team, getting beat by both one of the powerhouses, to also one of the lower tier teams this season (Affinity). It’s unfortunate that Bad Intentions is taking the 9 spot, and could potentially keep the spot. Some of the players are solid players, but that’s just not doing enough for the team, all of Revenge, Cyberphox and Cinn are great players, but those are the best players on the team and I don’t see them winning their teams games except Revenge but then again that goes into my other point. Tank coordination, a thing I didn’t think Bad Intentions would have a problem with, but their team doesn’t seem as organized as you’d think from a Revenge squad. I do hope they can improve through the season, I do have a lot of respect for Revenge as a captain and believe he could do it if he wanted to, there’s plenty of room for improvement. Week 3, the BI squad will be going into a tough week against Underrated, Supernova and Aftershock, any of those wins would be amazing for Bad Intentions.
Week 2 MVP: Cinn
W3 MVP: TG Revenge 40
8. Reflex (2-3)
Victory over Affinity 5-4 and Aftershock 5-4
Loss against Supernova 5-4 and Legendary 5-0
(Nuclear Taco 42, killjoy D22, BIG AL 60, DasJagers)
The team not taking the 9th spot, and for multiple season AGLA Ammy caps that could be a surprising thing. I’m actually impressed with Reflex this week, taking wins against not only Affinity but taking the huge upset win against Aftershock, very close game, but Reflex came out on top in the end. And even taking a close loss against Supernova who is a great team in my opinion. And to take the Reflex hype to a halt they took a pretty dominate loss against Legendary as a lot of people would suspect. I do think they should be ranked a little higher possibly, but I think I’m okay with 8th for now. Taco proved me and most likely other people by making the team better, but I think he ended up showing up more than expected, adding aggression and a little ball control with that nasty sword he has this game. Killjoy seemed to get a bit more used to the game this week, and he’s actually showing to be a pretty good tanking power. And both Big Al and Jagers are showing up as solid players. I mean obviously I don’t think they’re on the same level as the higher tier teams, but the already proved did good against one of them (Aftershock) if they can keep that up, we’ll see where they really are as a team. This week Reflex is taking on 3 rematch games against Affinity, Legendary and Oblivion, if they could take a win against Legendary or Oblivion that would be yet another huge win for Reflex, but for now lets see if they can take another win against Affinity and possibly rise above them in the rankings next week.
W2 MVP: Nuclear Taco 42
W3 MVP: Nuclear Taco 42
7. Affinity (1-4)
Victory over Bad Intentions 5-0 (pacfan010, AarrowOM, darkcity6, GankedYoAss)
Loss against Reflex 5-4 (pacfan010, AarrowOM, darkcity6, GankedYoAss)
and Underrated 5-0 (darkcity6, GankedYoAss, AarrowOM, DasJagers(Sub))
Still doing their best with the 4 players the have and everyone showing up is very respectable, and you don’t see that type of dedication all too often, so just a quick shout out to Pac and the rest of Affinity, you guys are the real winners. The Affinity squad took the win against Bad Intentions, trying to claw their way up the standings, but with a pretty upsetting loss against against Reflex that’ll damage them, it was close game though. Having a close game with presumed last place Reflex isn’t something to give a team confidence though (Even if Reflex is looking better). They do seem to be improving though, and they have some players that seem to be showing up, darkcity6 is showing up to be on the same level if not higher than Aarrow who was kind of the predicted main tanking source for me. Pac is showing to be a really solid hybrid. I think the that’s needs to really focus on stepping it up for the team is Ganked, whether it’s working on becoming a better tank or become more focused on running the ball since Pac can tank well. This week Affinity are gonna take on Reflex, Oblivion and Underrated, all very important games, from pretty much every tier (Reflex being low, Oblivion being mid, and Underrated being high). Although not the toughest, but I think Reflex is the most important game for the, just solidifying themselves over Reflex is important and also very do able. Although both the underdogs to Oblivion and Underrated and obviously if they got a win against either of those two teams that would be a huge game changer for Affinity.
W2 MVP: Pacfan010
W3 MVP: Pacfan010
6. Supernova (1-2)
Victory over Reflex 5-4 (Sailor Tuna, Eternally, OompaLoompaArmy, Trespa5s)
Loss against Underrated 5-1 (Sailor Tuna, Eternally, OompaLoompaArmy, xxV erityxx)
Supernova coming in with the number 6 spot, and this week with an expected win but close game against Reflex, and a hard fought game, unfortunately losing against presumed top tier Underrated. Not the only reason I think Supernova is so good this season, but Eternally (Vile) is a straight up monster, no doubt in my mind he’s the top tank in ammy this season, and even if Supernova didn’t have other solid players on the team, Vile is the type of player to be able to solo out tank a team. And to add onto that, Vile does in fact have solid players to back him up, OompaLoompa (formerly known as Panther Lily) and Sailor Tuner back him up very well, both being to tank well and run well for the team. I also want to say Verity is also a really great pick, because I know personally he’s a good player, but when it comes to the actual game, he didn’t show up as well. I still think he has a lot of potential, and that potential is what could help bring in some big wins. On another note, Supernova just recently made a trade with Oblivion, recently recruiting Shadowrain44 by trading John Mo. I that’s a huge trade for Supernova, adding a lot of power to the squad, if they can get him in as a 4th, this Supernova will be very dangerous. Supernova is going to be facing up against Bad Intentions and Eclipse, bringing in another hopefully expected win for Supernova and a pretty tough game against a 4-0 Eclipse.
W2 MVP: Eternally
W3 MVP: Eternally
5. Oblivion (1-2)
Loss against Eclipse 5-1 (Mr Crobar, SonicNachos, BIGDADDY69x420, shadowrain44)
Oblivion only played one game this week and it was seemingly powerhouse team Eclipse. Despite this loss Oblivion still are looking like they’ll be in contention for top 5. Recently trading Shadowrain for John Mo is a pretty interesting trade and is actually pretty good for Oblivion, John Mo adding some ball control will being able to slice down the Carrier quite often and without dispensing of too much tanking potential either. Sonic just keeps showing up and that he’s a really great tank and both Crobar and Daddy showing that they are very capable hyrbids, although I haven’t seen as much out of the BigDaddy I trust he’ll show up soon. This week Oblivion is going up against Affinity with high expectations of winning the game and raising themselves in the standings a bit.
W2 MVP: SonicNachos
W3 MVP: SonicNachos
4. Aftershock (2-2)
Loss against Eclipse 5-1 (TcT Avenger, Falltiltheend, FadedFLYS, TcT Conviction)
and Reflex 5-4 (TcT Avenger, HideYoKiddz, FadedFLYS, TcT Conviction)
After a dominant 2-0 in week 1, Aftershock go through week 2 0-2, taking a loss against Eclipse and a very surprising loss against Reflex, to be fair, if I can be Aftershock played without Falltiltheend, but on the other hand was replaced by HideYo which I think is at the very least on the same level or more skilled. Maybe the chemistry just wasn’t there with them in that game, maybe the team was just having a bad game, maybe Reflex just played a better game. I think whatever happened, Aftershock should be taking a step to see what happened, because I think they know they’re a good team too. Regardless I still think Aftershock is a top 5 team. Next week Aftershock goes up against Bad Intentions most likely being the fan favorite of the match, and then going tougher match after, Underrated. Beating Underrated would further solidify Aftershock being a top team.
W2 MVP: Falltiltheend
W3 MVP: Falltiltheend
3. Legendary (2-1)
Victory over Reflex 5-0 (Avaianch812, BROLY THE LEGND, Triumph Penguin, AK47gen)
Loss against Eclipse 5-1 (Avainch812, BROLY THE LEGND, Triumph Penguin, AK47gen)
2 more games on the season with a win against Reflex and a loss against Eclipse, there’s still more to be said for Legendary as they face up against more of the top teams. I still believe they’ll keep their spots here in at least top 4. There’s not many bad things I have to say about their starting lineup. Broly has shown up in both the wins and the losses so far, he’s keeps consistently tanking, and also proved me wrong when I said that his teammates were looking to keep up with him on the tank front, yeah my bad, Broly is definitely the top tank for the team, and one of the bigger threats in the league. Broly has even scored almost %50 of his teams goals, which is pretty impressive for the teams main tank. Although, I almost feel top teams might punish Legendary if Broly is the one carrying the ball and not tanking, but if that’s the only problem that I can think of for Legendary to fix right now, then that’s good. Legendary faces up against Reflex and Underrated this week, Reflex should be another easy win for the goons, on the other hand Underrated could prove to be a game.
W2 MVP: BROLY THE LEGND
W3 MVP: BROLY
2. Underrated (3-0)
Victory over Affinity 5-0 (PoisonxPoptart, Godly HCS, MVRetrograder, xV erityxx(sub))
and Supernova 5-1 (PoisonxPotpart, Godly HCS, MVRetrograder, Das Jagers(sub))
With another 2 wins this week, Underrated is 1 of the last 2 teams to be undefeated with a decent 3-0 record. Even after using two subs who are, in my opinion not as good as the 4ths Underrated has in their arsenal, (Jager and Verity, you’re still great though). Underrated has yet to face up against some of these top 5 teams like Aftershock, Eclipse and Legendary who should be very tough opponents. This week though they will be going up against 2 of those teams Legendary and Aftershock, those games are gonna be really important to see where the Underrated squad is really at in these roster of teams. They also have a rematch game against Affinity.
W2 MVP: Godly HCS
W3 MVP: Godly HCS
1. Eclipse (4-0)
Victory over Oblivion 5-1, Bad Intentions 5-1, Aftershock 5-1
and Legendary 5-1 (inMotion Venom, sjew, warhero1998, MuNgO PuNgO)
I don’t think that’s it’s all too surprising Eclipse jumped up to the no. 1 spot this week with the 4-0 week especially the dominant wins against Oblivion, Aftershock and Legendary. There’s not a whole lot more to prove from the highest seeded team in week 2. Everyone on the team has shown to be a very solid player, and the biggest thing this team has going for it is their teamwork, if they keep this up it’s very likely they’ll just keep this spot on the rankings. This week they go up against Supernova, which is hard to say that Eclipse isn’t the favorite at this point, the top team is looking to go 5-0.
W2 MVP: inMotion Venom
W3: MVP: inMotion Venom
