The Grifball matchmaking playlist consists of maps created by members of the Halo community. The gametypes in the playlist were made, tested, and tweaked by Grifball fans. The playlist truly is a community creation.
Now that your Halo: Reach fileshare is accessible through Halo Waypoint, GrifballHub is more than happy to help players find your great creations with our Map and Gametype Directory. If you have a Grifball map that you are proud of, or even one that someone else made that you just think is cool, please let us know by simply posting in this thread. Be sure to include the following required information:
Name of the map (or gametype)
A short description of the creation, no more than one paragraph
A Halo.Xbox.com link to the creation on a fileshare
Once a map has been submitted to us, our cartographer Nuclear Taco 42 will review the map and create a special thread in the forum where other players can download and discuss it. Hundreds of Grifball maps have already been submitted!
If you are submitting a map and gametype pair, please provide the information for both creations and indicate that they are to be used together. We’ll then put them both in the same thread.
If you have an update for a previously submitted map or gametype, please indicate that the new submission is a new version and tell us what old map or gametype it is replacing.
When we update the matchmaking playlist, the map forum is the place we look to find fun and interesting new creations. If you want tens of thousands of players to play your map in the Grifball hopper, then posting it in this thread is an all-important first step.
So let your mind run wild and get cracking in Forge. Make a snazzy new Grifball Court. Pour your heart into your creations and GrifballHub will be happy to put them on display and even consider them for the matchmaking playlist.
