Show Your Skill with our Spring League 2013 Achieveables!

In GrifballHub’s Good Games League, we have mini challenges called “Achieveables” that you can try to complete to make your Grifball experience even more fun. Each Achieveable is worth a certain number of GrifPoints. The total number of GrifPoints your team has won is called your GrifScore.

Achieveables are entirely voluntary. You can try to do all of them, or you can ignore them completely. It’s all up to you and your team. There is no punishment for not completing any Achieveables.

What’s more, unlike Xbox Live Achievements, Achieveables are all team-based. Your team earns them together. There is no such thing as an individual Achieveable.

This season, we are offering 17 Achieveables for teams to pursue during their regular season games:

Brains over Brawn – 20 GrifPoints
Win a match with a net negative team K/D spread.

Chuck the Sword, Yo! – 75 GrifPoints
Complete a match without earning a single sword kill.

Defenseless – 120 GrifPoints
Complete a match without a single kill with the ball.

Half and Half – 35 GrifPoints
Complete a match with two players never using the hammer and two players never using the sword.

Don’t Call it a Comeback – 65 GrifPoints
Complete a match with every member of your team earning a Comeback Kill medal.

We’re on Strike! – 100 GrifPoints
Complete a match without earning a single First Strike medal.

Pro Run – 75 GrifPoints
Score a point within 10 seconds of the start of a round.
(Video proof required)

Interception – 65 GrifPoints
Grab an opponent’s pass before the ball touches the ground or a wall.
(Video proof required)

Hail Mary – 45 Points
Score a point with a pass that is half the length of the court or longer. The receiving player must score within five seconds of catching the ball.
(Video proof required)

Silva Stop – 80 GrifPoints
Assassinate the enemy ball runner on your half of the court.
(Video proof required)

Crusader’s Bane – 65 GrifPoints
Go through the first two rounds of the game without attempting a single pass
(Video proof required)

Hollywood One – 40 GrifPoints
Submit one highlight from a GGL match for the GrifballHub highlight reel.

Hollywood Two – 40 GrifPoints
Submit two highlights from GGL matches for the GrifballHub highlight reel.

Hollywood Three – 40 GrifPoints
Submit three highlights from GGL matches for the GrifballHub highlight reel.

Hollywood Four – 40 GrifPoints
Submit four highlights from GGL matches for the GrifballHub highlight reel.

Hollywood Five – 40 GrifPoints
Submit five highlights from GGL matches for the GrifballHub highlight reel.

Oscar Winner – 150 GrifPoints
Submit five highlights from GGL matches for the GrifballHub highlight reel.

You can get any of the Achieveables during any of your regular season games. Achieveables must be submitted by the team captain for the team to earn credit.

Five of the Achieveables — Pro Run, Interception, Hail Mary, Silva Stop, and Crusader’s Bane — all require that you include a video clip showing your team completing the Achieveable. Simply make film clip in theater mode and upload it to your fileshare. Then include a link to the film clip when you submit the Achieveable.

The Achieveables that you can do off the court are simple: For every highlight (up to five) that your team submits to the GGL highlight reels, you will earn 40 GrifPoints for a Hollywood Achieveable! If you submit five highlights from league games during the season, you will unlock the Oscar Winner Achieveable, good for 150 more GrifPoints!

At the end of the season, the teams with the highest GrifScore will make the playoffs, regardless of their record. So you can go 0-10 and still make the post-season!

But like we mentioned above, there is no punishment for not doing Achieveables. The top playoff seeds will still be reserved for teams with great Win/Loss records.

Have fun going after the Achieveables! Good luck!

Well, we’re screwed, can’t get all of these unless I sit myself :P And it should definitely be, “Silva, stop.” instead of “Silva Stop” lol.

So for the “pass” based acheivables, do those all follow the definition that a pass can’t touch the floor or walls? We managed to get a bounce-pass into a score as seen on WNG, but I want to know if I can count that as the Hail Mary.
