While waiting to find out who their opponent for the Amateur League Championship will be, Collateral Damage took a few moments to answer some questions about their season and themselves.

Collateral Damage has been around for 3 seasons now. What have you done differently this season to the finals this time?
Neomalkin: Have we done anything differently? We had a goal this season that we haven’t had in the past. We got snubbed from the Pro League so we wanted show what we were capable of.

Who would you rather play in the championship: Yup Guppies or Ahoooo? Any reason?
Neomalkin: I’d like to play Yup Guppies so we can avenge our first season playoff loss against Pacman. He was on Scuba Squad when we lost in the sweet 16.
T7 Shark: Yup Guppies. I’ve known them longer than the other team, so it’d be nice to face them I guess.
Acniphyde43: I’d have to say Ahoo mainly because I know all those people and they’re fun to play against. It’s always intense.
Neomalkin: I don’t want to play against them. Darksoulinado has my number.
Acniphyde43: rRng ring, it’s darksoul.

What was the toughest game you played during the regular season?
Neomalkin: Our first game against team ninja. We were down 2 – 0. Ninja’s a really good team.
T7 Shark: Which one is team Ninja?
Neomalkin: I don’t think you played in that one Shark.
Acniphyde43: That was Neo, me, PhLaSsh and justin.
Neomalkin: we were worried about that one going into it. They proved to be quite a challenge. We went to the last score, it was 4 -4 .
T7 Shark: Nope. I don’t know the team name….
Acniphyde43: Mando Karla?
Shark: I have no idea.

Do you have a strategy for final match?
Neomalkin: I think our strategy is pretty well fixed at this point. We don’t do anything special. I get the ball, we hold the ball. PhLaSsh and Shark tank forward, Ace goes and gets wherever the other team doesn’t want him to be and wherever there’s a n opening that’s where I want to be.
T7 Shark: And if they don’t see me, I’ll sit on the plant and Neo will pass to me for an awesome score.
Neomalkin: I don’t think we’ll get a chance to do that this game.

How do you feel the playoffs have been run?
Acniphyde43: I don’t pay attention to anything outside our games so I don’t know.
T7 Shark: They’re ok.
Neomalkin: With the lack of an Ammy admin at the end of the season, it really felt like no one was paying attention to us and no one was planning, with no schedule at the beginning. It’s dragged on longer than it should have. Trying to rush us at the end and get all our games in, it’s not conducive to having a competitive end to the season.

T7 Shark: Next season?
Acniphyde43: No. Watch your plants because there’s usually someone there.
Neomalkin: Insert non-sequitor here.
Acniphyde43: yup
Neomalkin: I think there hasn’t been this much trouble in past playoffs. There just hasn’t been an admin paying attention to what’s going on. And also, as was looking at the rules, there’s no indication that there’s a series for the championship. I guess it could be argued as a single game or a series.

Are you planning on applying for the Pro League?
Neomalkin: We’ve decided to disband.
Goosechecka: Really? Why?
T7 Shark : Exactly my point.
Neomalkin: I need a season off.
T7 Shark: But I love this team.
Neomalkin: I need time away from Grifball, reconnect with my wife. She’s been calling herself Grifball widow.
Shark: That’s good
Acniphyde43: That’s really not good.
Neomalkin: I guess the team didn’t want to go on without me. They’ll all find a really good place.
Acniphyde43: I’m going to Harmful if Swallowed.
Neomalkin: I believe Improbable and is going to Deadly if Eaten and Phlassh is on Harmful if Swallowed.

What do you attribute to your perfect season?
Neomalkin: It’s all about chemistr. PhLaSsh and Ace and I have played since the beginning. We found great guys to team up with Improbable and Shark. We barely have to communicate during the game
Acniphyde43: I do non stop communicating.
T7 Shark: You say random things
Neomalkin: He does constant jibber jabber, it’s integral to our game strategy.
Acniphyde43: Don’t forget red team.
Neomalkin: We always do better when we’re red.

Do you feel like you’re under pressure or like the underdog?
N: we tried to come in under the radar but there were many who were picking us to go far or all the way. That was encouraging but we felt like a lot of people were in the easiest brackcet, easiest road. We kinda had an expectation for who we would paly. Right away there were some surprises. Ninjas knocking off lol. We kept our eye on what we wanted and were expecting and we got this far.
Ace: yep

If under pressure, how are you dealing with it?
Neomalkin: We’ve done better than expected, so anything past this is gravy.
Acniphyde43: Nom nom gravy.
Neomalkin: What about you guys? I feel we’ve accomplished a lot. We did great.
Acniphyde43: I feel good. I’m a little jittery, but as soon as I open a soda I’ll be fine.
Neomalkin: I haven’t felt as high stressed in the past during the regular season. I would be nervous for games in the regular season but it hasn’t been that way in the playoffs, certainly not as bad as last season. Might be us being used to it and comfy with each other we know we’ll play our best every game
Acniphyde43: Yup
