Priest XYZ sat down with guys from Bad Kidz Anonymous to talk about Playoffs. This is the Kidz’s second season in the amateur league and their second run for the playoffs. The 31st seed last season, BKA has definitely improved this season by earning the #7 seed and are looking to knock off -1 Indian early on and advance farther into the playoffs then last season.

With a lot of the top teams showing themselves early in the season, your team ran under the radar this season. Do you prefer the position of a dark horse or would you rather be watched during the playoffs?

AlreadyDead: Actually I like being the dark horse. That was our point last season, pulling in people and making the team with people entirely out of MLG. I personally didn’t bring in people that were from league, because I wanted people to underestimate us. We didn’t have much experience last season, so our goal this season was to first bring in an experienced runner. We normally keep hybrids so that it’s balanced all around.

Our mistake form last season was we didn‘t have one person for running, and we couldn‘t make any moves to the plant. However this season we “had” an experienced runner in DK Larz. Also, this season we were considered more of a dark horse because we got more players with less experience in league instead of traditional league skill. We had expected some attention bringing in Supergollum (DK Larz). Being well seasoned, I do prefer the dark horse type label.

ExplodingMantis: Personally I contradict dead, I‘d rather be watched because I like the stardom, but I‘m not as experienced as my captain, so he has the best judgment because this is my first season, I don‘t mind it either way. All I got.

Revolution: Dark horse, so you don‘t have any expectations. I wouldn’t want to be like Ball Till We Fall, because they bombed last season and got criticized for it. There’s always better playing with no added pressure.

Weezy: Uh, yeah well being a rookie, not many people know who I am or some of the players on our team. We‘re kind of naturally being the team where nobody expects us to perform as well as we have. As far as liking dark horse, I do not. I‘d much rather prefer people expecting us to be good so that they bring their best game to us, because I enjoy competition. So…the tougher it is, the better.

How does the addition of Mikinater affect your team?

AlreadyDead: With Mikinater we approached him looking for a replacement for Dk Larz. We‘re definitely happy with being able to add him to the team. We definitely know that‘ll make up for the loss of a runner and then some. So we‘ve definitely got our confidence back. We almost lost our chance for a playoff run being down a runner, but we definitley got our hopes back and moral is back now that that we have a legit roster.

Obviously Mikinater is a good hybrid but we‘re still working out the kinks whether he‘ll be the runner or tank. Now that we have our offense back, we look to go deep into the playoffs

ExplodingMantis: Pass. Am I allowed to pass?

Revolution: He’s‘ a solid player and all and he really can‘t do nothing but help.

Weezy: Um I‘m not familiar with Mikinater, but any addition that could help our team succeed in the playoffs, I‘m welcome to. Even if that means stepping aside for the good of the team.

If you could rate it 1-10 how do you feel Dead has lead the team this season and why?

ExplodingMantis: I‘m gonna give our captain a 10 being the highest because I feel that after watching all the other teams, at least in our division, that we‘ve got the better captain.. Dead‘s always on in the off hours and getting all the behind the scenes things done, and every time I‘m on, he‘s on practicing. So I think he definitely deserves a 10 for his work.

Revolution: I‘d say around a 8, he always puts time in for the team, but as a former captain, there are aspects that everybody can always improve.

Weezy: Um, I‘ll give him a 9. He‘s very organized, he always tells us when our matches will be and he‘s always helping. If I ever have any questions about how to do stuff or like what our game plan is he always uh, gives great advice. Also he recruited me from matchmaking and gave me the opportunity to start in a league, which I‘m very thankful for.

On a scale of 1-10 how do you feel your team has come through for you this season?

AlreadyDead: The people that I have below me in the party right now I‘d give a ten, because these people are truly dedicated. They’re always available and they’re always on time. They are truly dedicated to this team, and this was definitely a success. Even if we don’t win the championship, to me we’ve been a success. My goal was to make a team that can dedicate themselves, not that can just show up for games and not put in any effort. They definitely put a lot of priority in practice and games over a lot of other things in life that can easily distract them.

What team or teams are you looking forward to playing the most?

AlreadyDead: I’m going to say that I’m looking forward to playing Apocalypse Ponies, simply because they’ve got a player that already has won an ammy championship. Because by playing them, depending on our performance, we really have the opportunity to prove ourselves since we’re already facing somewhat champs. So it gives an accurate reading to see how we stack up. Even if they haven’t all won a championship, they have championship experience. Also because I am always out to take down the most overconfident groups.

ExplodingMantis: I’m equally looking forward to all the teams that we’ll see in playoffs. I know there’s a lot of stiff competition our there, and I hope they all bring they’re best game because we’re going to bring ours. So we’re gonna play hard and I’m looking forward to playing everybody.

Revolution: The Grif Reapers, I want to try to knock them off their high horse.

Weezy: Um I’m not aiming for a specific team that’d I’d like to play in playoffs. I just want every team to bring a challenge, because Grifball is fun and competitive and I like to win. If you play a good game, winning is that much sweeter against a good team.
