How to Get More Involved in the Grifball Community

community

I have been getting asked a lot lately how one might become more involved in the Grifball community. This is a simple question but not a simple answer. There are many wrong ways of trying this that will only reflect poorly on you. This article is here to help you along the way, if you so wish, to be more involved in the community.

You want to help the community but have no idea how? First, do not try to randomly start projects on your own with no idea how to run them. This will look very, very bad. The community can sniff things like that in a heartbeat. If you think you have a project that would help the community, ask an upstanding member or someone who has a track record with successful projects. Get their opinion on the project. What seems like a great idea to you, might be a lemon to everyone else.

Secondly, volunteer for projects. You do not have to run your own project to be involved. If someone has a project you think you can help with, sign up for it. This will help you understand how projects run. It also builds up your status. If people know you are dependable, they will trust you with future projects.

Thirdly, write articles and submit them to the Hub. We accept non-staff articles frequently. We realistically have only a few dedicated writers, so we are always looking for help from community. You can also submit ideas for articles if you do not feel you can write your own.

Lastly, and probably the most important, do not bite off more than you can chew. If you try to do something, and it’s far too much for you to handle, it’s not going to look good. Make sure you can complete whatever you start.

In closing, try to be positive in the Rooster Teeth forums and xbox live. Representing the league well is a great service unto itself. Give constructive criticism, and be polite. That in itself is a huge way to help the community.
