It’s my gamenight. How do I play?
Make sure your have four players available five minutes before your scheduled gametime. Then invite the opposing captain to a custom game lobby. Load up the GGL map and gametype and begin the match. After the game, report the results at GrifballHub.com.
What map and gametype do I use?
The default GGL map is SideGrinder, the hockey-themed “Grifball Court” in matchmaking. The default GGL gametype is GGL SL2016 Grifball. Both are available for download from the fileshare of the Grifball Maps gamertag.
What happens if I don’t have four players ready?
In the GGL, you can use substitute players for any match, as long as your opponent gives their okay. The forum chatbox is a good place to find a last-minute replacement. Just make sure you ask the opposing captain for permission to use your substitute(s) before the game begins.
How many games do I play?
Your team will play two games per week for five weeks, for a total of ten games. For example, if you are in Division 6, you will play the two “Week One” games starting at 8:00PM EST on Monday, March 14. Your “Week Two” games will be played at 8:00PM EST on Monday, March 21.
