PAX has become a Grifball tradition. Since 2009, Grifballers have made the pilgrimage to Seattle to bask in the glow of 70,000 game-loving geeks. Goose and Kal will be there browsing the show floor, attending panels, and hanging out with Dr. Leo and Dr. Leo’s hair.
Although there is not a Grifball panel this year, there is a Grifballer on a panel:
Giving Through Gaming: Making the World a Better Place
Video games are improving the lives of people around the world. They are being integrated into healthcare settings to improve treatment outcomes and patient care. They are being deployed to soldiers overseas to improve morale. Even that candy game on your mobile device has the capability to crush depression. This panel will focus on the impact that gamers are having on the world around them and how they are making it a better place.
Kelli N. Dunlap [Psy.D., American School of Professional Psychology] Zach Wigal [Founder, Gamers Outreach],
Jamie Dillion [Project Manager, Child’s Play Charity, Penny Arcade], Jean-Jacques Mott [Children’s Hospital]
Wombat Theater, Saturday @ 2:30PM
If you are attending PAX, be sure to find Goose and Kal. They’ll be laden with Grifball swag – including Grifball box art! If you can’t make PAX, be sure to follow @GrifballHub for real-time updates from the show floor and panels, including the Halo and the Journey of Master Chief panel featuring Dan Ayoub, Frank O’connor, and Kiki Wolfkill from 343 Industries.
