The Motive Open.

Mon Mar 20, 2017 12:52 pm

An open tourney with 32 teams of 4, double elimination, cash prize, make your own 4 man roster. I want to track stats with excel throughout the tourney and have a skills competition before the finals for the top 16 hammer tanks, carriers and carrier killers. This is legal as long a no one makes any money besides the winners. The winnings do not need to be declared on your taxes and its open to all ages. Have spoke to a lawyer concerning the legality. Id fund this one with the 410 bucks i won at the poker and black jack tables. I'd like to make it like 2 to 4 times a year or even monthly. A registration fee going 100 percent to the prize pool would fund the future tourneys.

Lets make this happen then. It's about growing the community for me right now. Unity amongst this fractured community would do it some good. Everyone is invited to come and try and win some money. Just leave your egos at the door and respect all the participants.

What's the gametype though?

Thats a good question. I never knew the gametype could be so complicated until i saw these forums. We could have a vote. If the pros are as good as they say they are they should be able to adapt to the slide. The ammy players would enjoy slide obv and it would encourage more involvement from lesser skilled players i beileve. That could result in a bigger community or the start of a larger more inclusive league altogether.

I think having everyone play on slide would work. It's your tourney and you can pick whatever game type or format you wish. Either way I'll be playing :)

No slide creates more of a skill gap if you want a more competitive tourney but anyways #E4 Gonna take this

Yeah imo no slide is the more competitive gametype but most of the league plays on slide so really you could swing it either way. Just do what you think is best. :)

Im willing to fund this one and start getting teams registered. I have a twitter or KIK or you can message me in xbox smartglass with your 4 man roster. Id also like to start discussing a start date. Like maybe after college lets out.
