The GGL post-season has begun, and we’re on to the second round of the playoffs. Only 23 teams remain, which means that 68% of our GGL teams are sitting at home with nothing to do!
The only cure for such blues is more Grifball! This week, we’re going to be taking to the court for some innovative holiday cheer in the form of two Grifball in Reach Neighborhood Tournaments!
First up, on Wednesday, November 30 at 10:00PM Eastern, we’ll be booting up the Anniversary map pack to try out Nokyard’s newest creation High Time. The map is a Vanilla Grifball court built on the Hang ‘Em High recreation that came with Halo CE:A and the Anniversary map pack. This means that all players in this GRUNT MUST have the new maps to participate.
For the Anniversary GRUNT, we will be using GGL FL2011 Vanilla.
Next, on Saturday, December 3 at 5:00PM Eastern, we’ll be watching our step for the Minesweeper GRUNT, played on everyone’s favorite wacky-fiery-death-from-the-heavens enclosed court, Minefield! This Dash map is the standard Sierra Vista court with a twist: At random, high-speed explosives rain down from the sky! Watch your step!
For the Minesweeper GRUNT, we will be using GGL FL2011 Dash Playoffs.
These GRUNTS will follow our standard setup: Signups will be at the top of the hour and will be open for thirty minutes. Teams must have at least four players to register and participate. The teams will be placed into groups for a round-robin tournament and each team in each group will play every other team once. The winners of each group will advance to a single-elimination round, and we will then have our champs!
If you have any thoughts on what sort of GRUNTs you would like to see in the future, please share your ideas in this thread.
See you on the court!
