In this Amateur Spotlight, BobbyBirdseed interviewed the Inglourious Basterds.
The Amateur Spotlight is an article done by BobbyBirdseed, where he asks Amateur teams just some general questions about themselves, and how they feel about various other topics relating to Grifball and whatever else he feels like asking.
1. What brought you guys to Grifball?
I’d say it was lucky it just so happens I was on XBL and a friend of mine, Silverwing007, was on and he said “Try out this game called Grifball.” and from there on I was hooked.
2. How did you come up with your team name?
Well the way I came up with was I was sitting thinking about past failure teams I had been on, most of the names were pretty ridiculous. So I tried to figure out something that sounded better and more serious but still had hints of humor. I saw a commercial that very second for the movie and I thought, “Hey that would be an awesome team name.” And there you have it.
3. What do you think your biggest asset as a team is?
Our biggest asset really is everyone, in each moment of a game. We try working cooperatively like a machine in order to kill the tanks, score the ball, and make ridiculous clutch plays.
4. What is your main goal for the season?
Our main goal this season is to play hard have fun and try to see how far we can go in the league.
5. What do you think your most difficult challenge will be this season?
The most difficult challenge is basically the other teams of course. Also trying to figure out who I should play for certain games, so I can make sure all my players have playing time.
6. How do you feel about the main map being the GrifCave this season?
Foundry Original map, and the GrifCave are different by huge bounds. The change is big and will be hard for some players our team who prefer Foundry, but we don’t mind GrifCave.
7. If you had to give any advice to a newer rookie team, what would you tell them?
Just make sure to call out whats going on at all times so everyone’s on the same page. Also make sure to tank as a team, because that’s a big problem with most new teams. They want to tank by themselves and that leave holes open for the other team.
