Dash: Game to Watch- Grammaton Clerics vs. New York Pineapples
Yeah, I did it. I went back to the Clerics again because I didn’t write an article and end up playing against HeadButt before I could make it the Dash Game to Watch. After losing their week 1 game to the Pineapples by a score of 5-4, the Clerics are out for revenge. After avenging their 7-2 loss to Way to Fail, these guys are coming off of a huge win with a lot of momentum. It’s kind of a hit or miss with this team depending on the lineup, but when it comes down to it, when Denny’s team has any chance and needs the win, they will perform.
So two games played and they were both 5-4 wins. I’m not completely sure but we might as well tag the Pineapples as escape artists. I still haven’t decided whether PistachioKid belongs in Pro or not, but I’ll let you have your own opinion. Joe Eduardo will give any team fits, so don’t expect the tanking to dumb down for this second game. I don’t know, after playing this team in the playoffs last season on Dash and seeing how well they played, I just don’t think they are as good as last season with the new line up. Either way, look for them to come out strong after that last comment.
Outcome: I hope I got the Pineapples worked up and hope to see a better game than a 5-4 escape against the Clerics last time. I’ll say for the Clerics that their best lineup was not played in the first meeting. Make some substitutions and I think they run away with it. Grammaton Clerics over New York Pineapples 6-3 (5-2)
Vanilla: Game to Watch: The Jetsons vs. Grunts of Fury
As much as I wanted to highlight the Cabs vs. Grunts game, this one was closer in the first meeting, so there you go. After taking the much needed win over What Kind of Lube?, the Grunts have taken the third spot in the division and what would be the last spot for playoffs. If they lose this game will it matter? No, because every other team who is aiming for the third spot won’t beat Jetsons or Cabs anyways, so this really is a nothing to lose game, except the game itself. It’ll be interesting to see how they play this one.
Haven’t followed the Jetsons too much, except that they’ve won the four games they have reported. At this point, I’m not sure it even matters for regular season who plays, as long as MajorSilva and T Rich are playing. I don’t have much to say about this team, because nothing major has really happened. Next week however, will be different.
Outcome: Like I think I’ve said before, chemistry can carry a team to any win if the chemistry is that good. I’d say it took Grunts to an actual 5-4 loss against the best Vanilla team, so where does it take them this time? I think it takes them to a win. Grunts of Fury over the Jetsons 5-4 (5-3)
